In a world where everything is becoming more digital, and there are many online security risks, MFA is like a strong armor to protect your personal and business information. We will help you understand why you should use MFA, how it works, and the many advantages it offers, not just for Red Bull employees. Whether you're new to this concept or want to learn more, we're here to make MFA easy to understand and show you why it's so important for keeping your digital life safe.
Red Bull places great emphasis on the security of your user identity by using multi-factor authentication (MFA). This means confirming your identity with two essential authentication methods:
Whenever you try to access a Red Bull IT service from a personal or non-company device, you must use the Microsoft Authenticator app on your mobile device to authorize the login.
You must have the Microsoft Authenticator app installed on your mobile device to access Red Bull IT services from personal devices not associated with the company. Registering for the Microsoft Authenticator app is crucial for several key reasons:
This section is for laptop users (Windows / macOS). If you only have a mobile device at hand (Android / iOS), we recommend switching to For Mobile Only.
In addition to your laptop, have your company or personal mobile device ready. Verify that the Microsoft Authenticator App is installed on your mobile device.
Important: Make sure you use "Login with password or activate device" for the registration, otherwise you might get caught in a sign-in loop.
If you begin signing up on a Windows or macOS laptop, just follow these simple steps with your mobile device ready (installed Microsoft Authenticator):
If the setup was successful, the Authenticator app will display a 6-digit code in your account.
Within the next hour, the protection level for your account will be increased and re-authentication may be required for some apps.
Please use browser in private / incognito mode.
Congratulations! You finished the registration process. Your account should now be protected with multiple factors for all Red Bull services, Teams, Outlook, OneDrive, SharePoint, Planner, and other Microsoft 365 products!
If you are receiving a Windows device and need to enrol it yourself, please watch the following video for instructions on how to do this. Please note that you must first setup MFA; see the step-by-step instructions in For Mobile Only.
This section is for mobile users (IOS / Android) only. If you need to log in with your laptop, please visit For Laptop.

If you started the registration process from your mobile device, please follow these steps:

Please use browser in private / incognito mode.
If you receive a replacement mobile device and you still have access to your previous mobile device, follow the steps below to register your new mobile device for multi-factor authentication.
Important: Do not unregister your previous mobile device until your new mobile device has been registered.
Important: Make sure you use "Login with password or activate device" for the registration, otherwise you might get caught in a sign-in loop.
Note: In the mobile view, you cannot see the device name (e.g. iPhone 12) in the Authenticator app, but the lower version is always the older mobile device.
Please use browser in private / incognito mode.
Important: If you do not have access to your previous mobile device, please contact the Service Desk or your Local IT and have an ID document ready to verify your identity.
Yes, you can. We recommend that you register all mobile devices that you use regularly. Please register your company and personal mobile device.
Red Bull employees and non-employees are required to use the Microsoft Authenticator app. Please contact IT Support if you have any questions or concerns.
To add an additional device: Open the following link in a private/incognito browser tab: link
Authenticate via Authenticator on the already registered mobile device, click Add sign-in method, and and choose Authenticator app. Follow the steps to add a new device.
When you try to add an account in the Authenticator app and it shows a Code and URL screen instead of the QR code scanner: Make sure the Authenticator app has access to your camera: Settings -> Authenticator -> Allow Camera.
When you try to add an account in the Authenticator app, the following error is shown: Make sure the Authenticator app has permission to send push notifications: Settings -> Authenticator -> Notifications.
A re-login is only required if you have authenticated to Microsoft 365 in the past using a password (1-factor) instead of "Login with company device". On a company-managed device, use "Login with Red Bull company device" whenever possible to ensure the best user experience (macOS users must confirm the keychain prompt once). Password login is only required on non-company devices or during MFA registration.
If you still have your previous mobile device, please follow the steps in For Replaced Mobile. If you do not have access to your previous mobile device, please contact the Service Desk or your Local IT and have an ID document ready to verify your identity.
Verify only your own sign-in requests with the Authenticator app. Never verify a sign-in request you did not trigger yourself! If in doubt, tap "Deny"!
Registering a device gives your device access to Red Bull services and does not allow Red Bull access to your device. More information can be found here.
