Welcome to MFA Web Guide

Entry point for all users

In today's digital world full of online risks, MFA acts like strong armor to protect your personal and work information. We'll explain what MFA is, how it works, and why it's important – not just for Red Bull employees. Whether you're new to it or want to learn more, we’ll make it simple and show you how it keeps your digital life safe.

What is MFA (multi-factor authentication)?

Red Bull takes your security seriously by using multi-factor authentication (MFA) to protect your account. MFA confirms your identity in two ways:

  1. Something you know – your password.
  2. Something you have – your Red Bull device or the Microsoft Authenticator app.

If you access a Red Bull IT service from a personal or non-company device, you’ll need to use the Microsoft Authenticator app on your phone to approve the login.

Why do I need the Microsoft Authenticator app?

To access Red Bull IT services from personal devices, you must install and register the Microsoft Authenticator app on your mobile device. Here's why it's important:

  • Access readiness: Be prepared to log in from non-company devices when needed.
  • Enhanced security: Adds extra protection against cybercriminals, even if your password is compromised.
  • Unauthorized login detection: Alerts you to any suspicious login attempts, keeping your account safe.

After registering for MFA, I have to re-login to different Red Bull / Microsoft 365 services. Why?

A re-login is only required if you have authenticated to Microsoft 365 in the past using a password (1-factor) instead of "Login with company device". Password login is only required on non-company devices or during MFA registration.

I have a new mobile device and cannot authenticate. What should I do?

Does registering a device mean that I agree to give Red Bull or Microsoft access to my device?

Registering a device gives your device access to Red Bull services and does not allow Red Bull access to your device. More information can be found here.
